Story

This year a team of AO UK Faculty have been invited to collaborate with Malawian Surgeons to co-deliver a bespoke Hand Fracture Fixation Course open to all Malawian Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery Trainees and new Consultants. It will be held in the new Research Centre at the LION (Lilongwe Institute of Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery).

The course will comprise lectures, practicals workshops and discussion groups and be free to all delegates, providing a comprehensive introduction to hand fracture management in a low resource setting. It runs in addition to the BSSH weekly teaching for the MDT at LION.
