Story
J and B are two lovely brothers who need your help! They are both funny, curious, and gorgeous boys who have overcome so many obstacles in their young lives, and they both have an urgent need for private physiotherapy and orthotics.
B is fifteen years old. He has autism, sensory processing disorder, and learning disabilities. He also has fixed flexion deformities in his knees and ankles, causing him daily pain and preventing him from straightening his legs. Due to NHS delays, he was unable to be seen by an orthopedic surgeon until it was too late for the surgery that would have made all the difference for him. He needs intensive physiotherapy until the end of his skeletal growth at a minimum to give him the best chance of mobility into adulthood. Our local NHS physiotherapy department is far too stretched to provide this for him, and time is running out. He also needs orthotics to help with his balance and posture.

J has had a rocky start in life. He is nine years old and has had twenty-six operations, including two open-heart surgeries, a tracheostomy, and two esophagus reconstructions. He also has cerebral palsy and hip dysplasia, which is likely to require surgery in the near future. J is doing so well but desperately needs private physiotherapy to maximize his potential. Unfortunately, our local NHS services are stretched to breaking point, and they are unable to offer support. J's mobility is unfortunately declining due to the lack of suitable therapy, and we are trying to raise money for orthotics to help support his back, legs, and feet.

J and B have so much potential, but the therapies and equipment that will allow them to achieve it are so expensive. Whatever you feel you can contribute would be greatly appreciated and life-changing! If you do want to donate to this page, the money will be used for either boy, depending on where it is most needed. We will update the pages as items are funded and the boys’ needs change.
7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.
If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, they will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects. If, in those circumstances, we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child, then any funds that cannot be used will be transferred for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
