Mange is a skin disease we see all too often at International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals (IAPWA). Ranging in severity, it can take weeks, and sometimes months, of ongoing treatment to cure.
Brody and Bruno have recently been rescued from the streets of Borneo where they have been living in this incredibly sad state for some time. Not only are they both suffering with a severe case of Mange, but they are both extremely skinny and malnourished. We can't begin to imagine what living on the streets was like for them in this fragile state.
Thankfully, Brody and Bruno are now in the safe hands of our Borneo Team and will be receiving daily treatment at our facility in order to start recovering from this nasty disease. This treatment includes Doxycycline once a day, as well as being bathed with medicated shampoo, Malaseb, at least once a week. These poor boys sadly don't have a family of their own, so your support means the world to them. It will be a long, bumpy ride, but with your support we can help give them a bright future, free from pain and suffering.
As well as Brody and Bruno, we have seen, and will continue to see, many dogs come through our doors suffering with Mange. Your kind donation to the Mange Treatment Fund will help to ensure every single one of these innocent animals is able to receive the best possible care and treatment in order to beat this nasty disease. Thank you for caring.
*Please note: Any funds raised over and above our target will be used where they are most needed to directly help the animals in our care.
