In August this year the FEI Driving World Championships for Combined Ponies are being held in Oirschot (Netherlands). The British Ponies squad is hard at work to put in a strong performance and are seeking to raise money to help fund the costs of the team participating in the Championships with its support team.

The Combined Ponies is made up of pony fours, pairs and singles and all the squad is busy training and preparing for selection events and international competitions in the build-up to the Championships.

The squad is very fortunate to have a great support team who will be travelling to the Championships with them. Core members are: Marisa Pinnock as Chef d’Equipe; Rosemary Mould as team Vet; Andrew Simmons supporting with marathon and cones; and Lauren Tufton as our team Sport Psychologist.

Unfortunately one of the UK International FEI 3* events had to be cancelled earlier in the year due to wet ground so now many of the squad are having to travel abroad to gain the required qualification scores to attend the Championships.

The cost of travelling abroad with ponies is very high and as carriage driving does not receive any Government or Lottery funding costs are met by individuals in the team and so we are launching this JustGiving campaign to help ensure that we can take a full team to represent Great Britain and bring home some more medals!
