Bristol Mind aims to promote a positive view of mental health and provide services that are accessible, relevant, and empowering to the people using them. We provide services that contribute to mental and emotional wellbeing and reduce stigma and discrimination.
The COVID-19 crisis has put a tremendous strain on mental health. The Lockdown has challenged everyone to adapt to cope with change, strain, and stress. Consequently, Bristol Mind have made rapid changes to our services to make sure we can continue to support people through this difficult time.
Our emotional support helpline MindLine is running an extended service during the crisis and will be open 7 nights a week, 7pm-11pm until further notice. We have increased the number of people running this service. We also have a dedicated daytime telephone line that can point you in the right direction to find support for mental health and wellbeing needs. Our Information and Signposting line is open between 9:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). We are going to be extending our TransLine + helpine which is a national service for Trans and Non-binary people, from 2 nights to 3. We are sharing free wellbeing content on our new YouTube channel and we are seeking support to provide webinar wellbeing training for workplaces and individuals. We are continuing to provide low cost and counselling and advocacy services remotely during the crisis.
