Story
We are a partnership of churches across Brighton & Hove who believe no one should be sleeping on our streets!
"I didn't wanna be out there on the streets at night, I'm too old for that now. I still see people who are out there and I hate it. I just wish everyone could get in here. During the day, it actually gave me something to look forward to."
We strive to make our Shelter feel like a home, and welcome our guests like friends. Every evening guests are provided with a home-cooked meal, a warm bed and showers, with breakfast the following morning.
Guests are also supported in finding permanent housing and employment through our partnerships with the Council and other local agencies.
"I came out of prison and found myself living on the streets with nothing. I found out about the Night Shelter and was referred to join the project. Quite quickly I settled in, made friends and it felt like home. They helped me to get housing and it really improved my life."
Since 2011 400 rough sleepers have been provided with beds and 105 guests assisted in finding permanent housing.
