Back in March, Beaumond House launched an emergency appeal #fillthegapBH asking for support to help fill a £300,000 shortfall as a result of coronavirus.

The community have been amazing at helping us to fill the gap in such an unusual time and so we wanted to bring some normality back, and despite the new normal that we are having to adapt to, we have decided to continue with our annual Be Bright Blue campaign.

Despite the difficulties and challenges, we are reaching those who need us through providing in-patient care and hospice at home for patients needing symptom control, extra care during the palliative phase, carer support and end of life care. We are facing a £300,000 loss of fundraising income over the next 6 months with no certainty of when we can return to our fundraising normals so our Be Bright Blue campaign is crucial to our ongoing digital fundraising.

Due to the current restrictions, Be Bright Blue will still be focused on raising vital funds and awareness of the hospice, but will be done in a slightly different (but fun!) way....

We have our Bake 5! Bake, donate, nominate... bake up something delicious (it can be with a blue twist but we'll leave that up to you!) donate to BH and then tag/nominate 5 friends on social media to do the same! Don't forget to tag Beaumond House too!

Why not purchase one of our unique Be Bright Blue T-shirts? £5 from each T-Shirt will be donated to Beaumond House. The T-shirts will be launched during Be Bright Blue week. Watch this space!! 

Go Bright Blue for Beaumond House by creating and displaying some of our printables available from our website (or your own creations!) in your window. Why not go all out, be as imaginative as you like and don't forget to tag us in your pictures on social media!

The current government advice is to aim to wear a face mask on public transport and crowded places; we have been kindly donated some wonderful masks by our local community and these are available outside the door at Beaumond House in return for a donation in our honesty box.

As we are still looking at a serious shortfall in funding this year, we really need the continued support of the community. Any support you could show to the our campaign would be greatly appreciated. Even shares on social media will help us to increase the awareness of our campaign and of Beaumond House.
