Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity, providing life-changing support to families affected by all forms of dementia. Its nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, are there when families feel exhausted, overwhelmed and alone. Working on the free national Dementia Helpline, in virtual and face-to-face clinics, and in the community, they are a lifeline when families do not know where to turn.
Dementia is a huge and growing health crisis. By 2025, it is predicted that one million people in the UK will be living with the condition. Dementia UK urgently needs to grow the number of Admiral Nurses so more families can access their expert, compassionate support.
