Three incredible Brick staff are taking on an epic challenge!
Our Brick CEO Keely Dalfen, Executive Assistant Jodie Danner, and Chair Of Trustees Paul Plant are gearing up for the ultimate test — the Lake District 5 Peaks Challenge on Saturday 10th August!
With poverty and homelessness on the rise in Wigan & Leigh, Team Brick is on a mission to raise £1.5K to provide extra safe places to sleep within our accommodation provision. The cost-of-living crisis has pushed UK families deeper into poverty, with one in three children in Wigan living in poverty and hundreds of families in temporary accommodation.
"It's been horrendous. We've seen a massive increase in homelessness, families living in temporary accommodation, people washing clothes in the bath because they don't have a washing machine... it's that sense of injustice that keeps us going here and fighting for a better future for everybody." - Keely Dalfen
The 5 Peak challenge spans just one day but involves conquering five demanding peaks in the Lake District, including England’s highest – Scafell Pike. Our team will trek over 12.5 miles (20km), ascending to over 3,000 feet (900m), traversing crags and moorland towards Scafell Pike.
This challenge won't be easy, but with your support, we know they can do it! Every pound donated will help spur on our brave team as they tackle this monumental feat.
If you can spare a few pounds to support Team Brick, we would be incredibly grateful. Together we can make a difference and help build a brighter future for everyone. 💪🏔️
