Story

Domestic violence levels spike at Christmas. Financial pressures, alcohol, and being indoors puts extra strain on abusive relationships.

Donate now to help us break this cycle of abuse.

Your donation will help us to provide: a helpline; group sessions for adults, children and perpetrators; and much-needed 1-1 counselling.

This year, as we do every year, we are anticipating an annual spike in calls for help in January following Christmas and New Year festivities. With your help, those in domestic abuse situations can get in touch once there's a private moment to make a call.

What unites us is our drive to break the cycle of domestic abuse in all its forms.

The Freedom Project is the only organisation offering free, long-term, community-based support in West Cumbria as part of our mission to help stop domestic abuse. We have supported over 10,000 individuals during our 22 years. Referrals last year increased by 57%.
