***MARCH 2021 UPDATE - INCREDIBLE NEWS - THANKS TO EVERYONE SUPPORTING OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, WE NOW HAVE ENOUGH TO TRANSFORM THE KS1 LIBRARY - WE CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR GENEROSITY! WHILST WE HAVE REACHED THIS TERRIFIC MILESTONE TOGETHER, WE CANNOT STOP NOW. THERE ARE SO MANY 'EXTRAS' THAT THE SCHOOL BUDGET CANNOT MEET SO THIS PAGE WILL REMAIN OPEN AT LEAST UNTIL WE HIT OUR £5,000 TARGET. PLEASE KEEP GIVING IF YOU CAN***
BPSCA began raising funds to transform the KS1 library at Billingshurst Primary over 18 months ago. Our vision, to provide the children with a fresh, inspiring and enjoyable space in which to learn. So far, with the generous support of the school community and wider business community, we have raised £7,500. This represents about half of what we need.
Due to the unprecedented circumstances created by the Coronavirus pandemic, the Spring Fair and Summer Fun Day which were scheduled to take place in March and June had to be cancelled. These two events would usually raise in excess of £10,000, half of which would have been allocated to the library project.
We are managing our finances very closely to ensure that we are able to continue to provide support for additional resources and experiences that the school budget cannot meet. This includes cash allocations for every year group for extra class resources, ukulele lessons, playground toys and extra STEM specific resource. In doing so, we have little 'extra' for the foreseeable future to put towards the library project.
We appreciate that these are extremely challenging times for many people. If you are in a position to make a donation, however large or small, we thank you so very much.
