Bowel Butties - Supporting our local Colorectal/Stoma Department at Royal Glamorgan Hospital

We are on a mission to make a positive impact to our community of patients who have a colorectal condition, eg. Colon/rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases and formation for a stoma that are being treated in the local Colorectal Department.

Story

The colorectal department plays a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with a range of colorectal conditions with or without a stoma formation.

Your donation will directly benefit patients treated in the local colorectal department, by providing facilities, acquiring necessary medical equipment, providing education and training opportunities for the colorectal team, patient/carer support events.

Your support will make a tangible difference in the lives of the individuals who have or are having treatment within the colorectal/stoma care department at Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

Coffee Morning Fundraiser - 13 September 2024

The Stoma & Colorectal Care Team hosted a successful coffee morning at the YMa Centre, Pontypridd, raising over £700 to support stoma patients. Attended by patients, families, and local charities, the event also launched our Bowel Butties fundraising campaign.

Pen-y-Fan Walk - 17 November 2024

On Sunday 17 November, members of the nursing team and colorectal consultants at Royal Glamorgan Hospital will be taking part in a sponsored walk of Pen-y-Fan in order to fundraise for the campaign.
