Story
On the 27th of April, staff members across Central YMCA will be taking on the Born Survivor challenge to demonstrate our commitment to our social prescription projects.
This won’t be an ordinary challenge, no no – we are determined to overcome a military themed obstacle course, which spans across 10 kilometres and contains over 30 obstacles designed by the Marines.
This initiative will be part of our Socially Active campaign, which raises funds for our Positive Health and Phase IV projects. They offer a blend of physical activity and social support those who are HIV+ and those in need of cardiac rehabilitation, respectively.
We know this will be tough, we may even be a little sore the next day, but it’ll all be worth it if it helps us help others.
Keep your eyes peeled on this page for updates (and maybe even some training photos). A special thanks to Ryan, Andy, Kat, Rebecca, Bev, Tom and James for taking on this challenge on behalf of Central YMCA.
More to come soon!
