Story
Over the last 12 months, IAPWA has continued providing a lifeline to animals in need through our projects, despite the immense challenges we have faced. In Borneo, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, many rescue centres have also experienced the worst floods the area has seen in over 30 years. 2020 was a year like no other. Despite the enormity of the difficulties we have faced, animals have still needed help. Abused, neglected, abandoned we have seen it all, and it is heartbreaking.
IAPWA are hoping to raise £10,000 to give the gift of care to the stray dogs of Borneo - those dogs who don't have a family of their own or anybody else to rely on. The funds raised will provide support, food, toys, treats and a safe place for our patients to be cared for and also enable us to purchase vital veterinary supplies to ensure we can treat all of the poorly dogs that come into our care as quickly as possible. We will be renovating some of our existing kennels and building even more new ones to help us provide shelter for as many dogs as we can, saving more innocent lives and supporting those struggling on the streets so as they can find their forever home and leave their suffering behind.
We can only achieve this with the support of animal lovers who care as much as we do about the plight of those suffering. With your help we can make a difference. We know it is a big ask but your help will give the dogs we care for the most previous gift of all - the gift of care, hope and a better future. In many cases, your help will also save their life.
Thank you for caring.
*Please note: Any funds raised over and above our target will be used where they are most needed to directly help the animals in our care.
