The Bordesley Green Islamic Centre - planned refurbishment works (Phase 1 - November 2020)

The Mosque is a 2 story building which requires an urgent refurbishment works on the 1st floor to expand the essential services necessary for the local community

Before Covid 19 the ground floor served as the main prayer hall and 1st floor has been used for other purposes.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation and the need to distance during the salah, we have started to utilise the space on the 1st floor for jummah prayer. This has become a necessity given the current situation and the demand from the community.

However, the 1st floor requires refurbishment in flooring, ceiling and replacement of windows including heating to make sure the space is suitable for use as a prayer space. Currently, the access to the top floor is also from the outside which isn't ideal and need access from the ground floor prayer hall.

We have commenced the works on Monday, 9 Nov 2020 to take the advantage of the National Lockdown and hope to finish within a reasonable time, Insha Allah.

As the masjid is currently closed for Jummah and all congregation prayers due to the lockdown restrictions, it is difficult to raise the required funds. We request your special duas and make a generous donation whatever affordable to complete the essential works for this Mosque.
