Story
Every year on the second Sunday in July, the Bridgend Centre runs the Bollington Nostalgia Hill Race to raise valuable funds for our charity. This year, with social distancing measures in place, we have decided to make the event a virtual challenge. Were inviting you to run 10km at some point between 28 June and 12 July. This is a solo, virtual challenge for you to help us raise the vital funds we need in the coming months.
There will be prizes on offer for most fundraised, fastest runners and the highest hill climb.
The global COVID-19 health crisis has left us rapidly adapting our work whilst facing a dramatic loss of income. We need your support now to keep vital projects alive and ensure we remain at the heart of the Bollington community now and in the future.
Is there a set route?
No, you can run your 10km wherever you would like. If you would like to, you can run the original route that the event usually follows. Please find it here
Safety
Current government advice is that its safe to exercise outside with up to six other people whilst maintaining strict social distancing guidelines. Please read and adhere to the Governments guidance which can be found here . Please note that this may be subject to change over the coming weeks, so please keep up to date.
