Story
Over the next two years, our fundraising will help Mental Health UK support people with mental illnesses into employment. The charitys research suggests that despite 80% of people living with mental illness wanting to work, just 20% are currently in employment. MHUK plans to develop and launch an online Employment Hub, providing relevant information and resources on employment and mental health for everybody, including how to look after your mental health when out of work.
We believe that it is important for our teams to get involved with charities and projects where our donation can have a significant impact.
Commenting on our new partnership, Andrea Sullivan, head of International ESG, said, 'We are delighted to welcome Mental Health UK as our UK charity partner for the next two years. Mental health is clearly a subject that many of our colleagues feel very passionately about, and I am sure that we will channel that energy into our fundraising efforts as we work together to help people into long-term sustainable employment.'
Bank of America are proud to support such a key charity that provides support and services for some of the biggest societal challenges that pose a threat to peoples mental health, including money problems, navigating through the system to get the right support, understanding mental health, loneliness and isolation, and resilience in young people.
