Skylarks Charity

BNI Richmond Park Fundraising Walk

Walking the perimeter of Richmond Park for Skylarks Charity takes about 3 hours, covering approx 8 miles. It's home to the unique and non showy Skylarks bird, so let's hope BNI fly high getting round in the time and see some Skylarks too!

Story

Skylarks Film 3,500 children rely on Skylarks to help support them on their special journey with 900 registering over the last 12 months. Children with special educational needs and disabilities are often the forgotten ones and the impact of the pandemic has increased their isolation.

Being born with a rare syndrome, having a disability or additional need due to autism, Down's syndrome, speech/hearing/visual loss, anything that's not neurotypical, for our many 0-25 year old's life can be incredibly challenging. Their young lives need as much as they can to develop their potential, be heard, understood, meet others where they can share, be themselves, connect, have fun without being judged or alienated.

Skylarks Spread Your Wings, is our latest programme helping youngsters prepare for the journey into the big wide world of work.

We're here for the parent carers and whole families too supporting everyone.

"My daughter's life has changed dramatically as a direct result of the support that I have received. And I can't thank Skylarks enough".
