BLGC Bolton 10K
Organised by Bolton Lads & Girls ClubMembers of the BLGC team and patrons/supporters are taking part in the Bolton 10K on the 28th of April 2024 in hope to raise funds for BLGC's vitals services!
Story
Bolton is Greater Manchester’s 3rd highest borough of children living in poverty, our members come from all walks of life, however 89% of them are underprivileged and with 34% of children in Bolton in poverty to date, and this increasing, the need for our services are greater than ever.
BLGC is a multi-faceted organisation, underpinned by thorough safeguarding processes and placing children at the heart of the organisation, providing universal and targeted support to underrepresented and diverse groups in Bolton and Greater Manchester, responding and evolving to local need.
Our mission that drives us every day is to enable children and young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to live happier, healthier and positive lives by providing somewhere to go that’s safe and modern, something to do that is inspiring and engaging, and someone to talk to when they need it the most. - Emma Hutchinson, CEO
