Story

Your donation today will improve the life of a nurse, midwife or healthcare assistant in crisis.

Generous donations from the BJN Awards 2020 will provide essential support from money to repair a vital household appliance, to rapid aid to help a family flee their home due to domestic abuse.

Examples of what your donations could helps towards:

£25 - food costs for a healthcare assistant isolating during the pandemic.

£50 - bills for a midwife and partner who have lost income due to lockdown restrictions.

£250 - travel costs for a midwife with cancer to attend hospital appointments

£500 - repair a broken boiler for a nurse facing a cold winter

£1,000 - emergency rent for a nurse and their family fleeing domestic abuse

Your help is more vital than ever during this pandemic.

Right now Cavell Nurses Trust is emotionally and financially supporting nursing and midwifery staff every day affected by Coronavirus.

Since March, we have provided record levels of support and each month we are seeing a surge in demand. Last month, the amount of funding we gave out needed to be 6 times higher than that given in February, just before the pandemic hit the UK.

I am grateful for the support given to me during this challenging time. Its good to know that as nurses we can find some well needed help and my confidence has been boosted. - A Nurse recently supported by Cavell Nurses' Trust.

We want to help as much as our funding allows, but we know that the effects of the pandemic will be felt by our nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants for many months to come.

Please donate today.
