The Mamie Martin Fund is 30 years old in 2023 . Since 1993 we've been supporting girls at secondary school in Malawi in memory of Mamie Martin. Mamie lived and worked in Malawi in the 1920s and campaigned for equality of educational opportunity for girls there. Girls in Malawi are disadvantaged in many ways. They face greater barriers to enter secondary education and fewer girls than boys complete secondary school.

We work with education providers to pay fees for girls selected by the schools. The girls are also supported by Mercy Sibande, our Country Director, who is able to help them with some necessities like soap and sanitary wear. Your contribution to our work makes all of this possible. Thanks!
