Story
Our son Billy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of 1. We are primarily raising money for Just4Children to enable Billy to continue with his physiotherapy as we see it as the key to helping Billy walk.
Billy undergoes weekly physiotherapy with Mini wonders, which makes a huge difference to his mobility and independence. Billy also needs new specialist equipment and Aids like wheelchairs, walking sticks, splints, benches and specialist chairs. All things he uses in Physio on a daily basis.
Thanks to all the amazing support Billy has received over the years he was able to undergo an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). The purpose of the SDR operation was to remove the spasticity in Billy’s legs in order to promote his mobility.
Billy’s independence has grown hugely since the operation but as he continues to grow into a young man his ligaments and muscles struggle to keep up so Billy still needs continuous intensive physiotherapy to help.
Billy is a wonderful young man with a cracking sense of humour and we all desperately want him to gain as much independence as possible.
Thank you love Team Billy
