Over the last few years, cyclists with a love for Scripture pedalled their way through some epic sponsored rides. Their efforts raised £42,630 to bring God’s word into more lives. That could be 2,000 Bibles for people in prisons and another 2,000 for children caught in the war in Ukraine.
This year, we're once again inviting you to get pedalling and bring the transformative power of the Bible to people around the world.
Whether you cycle 5 miles or 50, solo or with a group, every mile covered and every pound raised makes a difference.
I have been a Christian for 40 years. Throughout the usual valleys and mountains of my pilgrimage I have had a passion for the Bible. I love to listen to good teachers and have spent many years teaching children in Sunday school. And now in my retirement I’m facilitating Bible studies and leading a monthly catechism class. I also enjoy cycling so I decided to combine these passions! - Mike, Bike for Bibles participant, 2024

Open the Book volunteers came to her school to share Bible stories every week and now she feels a sense of hope and purpose. She says, ‘Hearing the Bible stories has inspired me to be a better person.’

You can help people like Andriy and Yana, who were forced to flee their home in Ukraine and leave everything behind. They found sanctuary at a church in Lviv and came to faith by reading a Bible funded by generous supporters like you. Studying the Bible and being part of a local church community is helping them find God’s comfort and healing for their family.
Your support goes towards training and resources for leaders like Li. Li leads Bible studies for believers in Eastern China. Her groups include new believers and believers who’ve been Christians for a long time but never read Scripture.
In recent decades, we’ve seen explosive growth in the Chinese Church but there’s only around one pastor for every 6,700 believers. With your help, Bible Society is training and resourcing leaders to help grow a generation of mature, Bible-confident believers in China.
