Pack your bags! We’re going on holiday…

Okay, we’re not suggesting we walk all the way to the Costa Del Sol (unless anybody can walk on water…) but we want to invite you to join our big walking challenge. We’ve measured the distance from the Sunshine Fund office in Newcastle all the way to the ‘Coast of Sunshine’ in Spain, to create a unique challenge that everybody can get involved in.

This is the perfect opportunity for corporate teams, individuals, families and friends to contribute to, where they can set their own pace and their own fundraising goal, whether you’re a seasoned trekker or a walking novice.

So, how does it work…?

We’re not expecting anybody to walk 1,495 miles on their own, but we’d love to see how far we can go together! For example, if a team of 10 walked 10 miles in total, each raising £50 each, it would knock 100 miles off the overall destination, and their total of £500 would contribute towards the overall goal of £5,000. You can walk wherever you like, at whatever pace you like, whenever you like, but we’d love to see how creative you can get! Tag us in your photos using #NCL2CostaDelSol☀

Participants can raise however much they like, but we recommend a minimum target of £50 per person. We’ll be updating the map and the fundraising total throughout the year. All you need to do is set up a fundraising page through our JustGiving campaign, get those walking shoes on, and let us know you’re taking part and how far you’ve walked.

All donations raised in this challenge will allow us to support children living with disabilities, additional needs and terminal illness in the North East region.
