Story

This is the photo of Jarius who died during heartworm treatment. He is just one of the many dogs we have rescued from severe neglect and abuse. We are dealing with so many UK surrenders currently due to the economic crisis and the increase in dog ownership during Covid-19.

Look at our gallery of success stories and help us create more happy ever afters. We are a small charity and are entirely volunteer-led with no grants or paid employees. Please donate to our walk or do your own fundraiser for us. We also need fosters across the UK.

We did it - 8 humans and 4 dogs climbed Helvellyn in all weathers - wind, driving rain, hail, ice and also sunshine. Eleven hours later we arrived back at our base - 10.10 pm at night and the stars were shining. Many thanks to Jacqui and Andy for leading, Liz for being our first aider, Peter, Wendy, Richard, Liz and Jo for being stalwart to the end. Our guardian dogs Lilly (rescued from Bosnia), Zara (St Bernard rescue), Kita and Jaffa made sure we arrived safely back down the mountain.
