We're here to help with exceptional trusted information and advice, social and well-being services and groups, financial advice, home help, advocacy, and veteran provenance. Story

Take part in our Big Step Challenge for friendship, independence, and wellbeing.

Every step counts

Your steps, your miles, your fundraising, it all helps older people in Dyfed stay connected, independent, and supported. From friendly phone calls to home visits, your support ensures nobody has to face later life alone.

This coming Autumn-Spring 2026, every step you take can make a real difference for older people across Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, and Ceredigion. Whether it’s a few steps as part of recovery, a daily walk, or a big bold challenge, every step counts in our Big Step Challenge! We take inspiration here from Age Cymru who are raising money in their national campaign. This campaign will go to our local charity and support our core services on the ground in West Wales.

Why take part, why it matters

Last year, thanks to supporters like you, Age Cymru Dyfed:

- Supported 365 people living with dementia and their carers

- Provided 560 people with mental health support

- Offered befriending through Life Links to 292 older people

- Helped 463 older people with technology and digital skills

- Delivered information and advice to 2,684 people

- Awarded £2.3 million in previously unclaimed welfare benefits

With limited statutory funding, every step and every pound you raise through the Big Step Challenge keeps these vital services free, local, and available to all who need them.
