Story
This year's Big Ride for Africa will no longer be taking place as a live event, instead we are joining everyone to our amazing global virtual event from Denver to Wormlsey.
Due to the continuing unstable environment we feel it is not appropriate to congregate in a physical setting but this does mean we can complete an even bigger mission together virtually! We are aiming for the fundraising targets to remain the same as the original event as more than ever we want to raise vital funds to continue Street Child's work.
Even though we are disappointed not to be able to welcome you to our usual base camp vibe we are so excited to know that this year's Big Ride for Africa is going to be bigger than ever!
At Street Child we believe that achieving universal basic education is the single greatest step that can be taken towards the elimination of global poverty. 125 million school-aged children are currently out of education world-wide. Millions more children are in school but failing to learn.
We now work in 14 countries helping children and families gain access to education and the opportunity to change their lives. We recognise that the barriers to education are complex and interlinked, and our projects focus on a combination of education, child protection and livelihood support to address the social, economic and structural issues that underpin todays education crisis.
The Big Ride for Africa Virtual Mission is pivotal in how we raise funds to continue our important work.
