Visit the charity's profileAdjai, a 2022 Easterseals Ambassador, loves Elmo, The Price Is Right, the outdoors and reading. Adjai was born at 25 weeks and has fine motor planning issues. He showed a love of reading but wasn't able to turn the pages of his books on his own. Mom got to work figuring out how to help him be more independent; she glued popsicle sticks to the pages so he had something easy to grab to turn pages. Now Adjai is reading on his own!
Easterseals' Assistive Technology team met Graham when he was struggling to keep up in college. He was discouraged and felt like he didn't have what it took to be a college student.
Now I can see I was capable, I just needed the tool. I was struggling in college, unable to retain lecture content and take adequate notes. I thought I wasn't capable of success. Easterseals' AT team identified the Livescribe Pen to support me during lectures and it changed everything. Now, I take digitized notes while recording lectures simultaneously; marking points in the lecture where I need to spend additional time. Its been a massive help. I've passed classes I would not otherwise have been able to. And, after sharing my experience with the Livescribe Pen, Easterseals is impacting others too! " Graham
