Story
Loneliness and isolation profoundly impacts people and communities across Scotland. Feeling lonely or isolated can make people think they have little value or control in their lives and can increase people's risk of developing long-term health conditions.
Help Carr Gomm stomp out loneliness and isolation in Scotland.
Now in our 25th birthday year, we're asking you to help us raise £25,000 so that we can continue to run community projects and activities which give people opportunities to meet new people and feel connected in their community; supporting people to feel more confident and more in control of their lives.
You can complete a sponsored walk, host an afternoon tea, abseil from a bridge, or complete a jigsaw puzzle every day for a week. Whatever challenge you decide to take on, do it with others by getting friends, family, neighbours, or your community involved. This fundraising challenge is about bringing people together and creating memories while raising money for community projects which do just that!
Every £1 you fundraise will go directly to projects like these:
- £500 can create a community garden.
- £1000 to run healthy cooking classes for a year.
- £4000 to set up a community Men in Sheds project
In our 25 years of supporting people and communities in Scotland, we have seen how bringing people together and providing opportunities to make meaningful connections can be transformational.
Be part of that transformation and begin your fundraising journey today.
