Story
Amelias Rainbow is celebrating 10 years of supporting children with disabilities and serious illness. The charity was named after Amelia Grace Cooper who sadly passed away from an aggressive cancer at the age of 9 in 2010. Her fight and generosity inspired her family to start the charity in her name to help other children in a similar position.
On February 21st 2012 we became an official charity and over the last 10 year we have supported hundreds of children by enhancing their play, learning or achievement.
The pandemic gave us an opportunity to assess our services and we noticed an increased demand for our holiday home and beach hut and we also now have many youngsters who have a disability so need adapted facilities. We will celebrating our decade of achievements this year but also thinking about our next 10. In our tenth year we are fundraising towards a wheelchair adapted caravan. We have a large number of children who use wheelchairs and will need hoists or a wet room and our current holiday home isnt suitable for a free holiday. We have a huge target ahead as we will need help to raise £100,000. This will cover the cost and on costs of the caravan ensuring we can offer over 50 holiday a year to families.
Your donations and fundraising will have a huge impact of the well-being and lives of families who need that helping hand to create valuable memories.
