Having so successfully launched The Big Smile annual campaign of fundraising walks last year - and having achieved as much as we did ( almost 1,000 pairs of free walking boots given to schoolchildren in the North East ) the Walk & Talk Trust is about to embark upon the next stage of The Big Smile journey.
Whilst over 9,000 of County Durhams Primary school children are busy enjoying participating in another one of the charitys projects ( the Home Walk Project ), our staff are themselves about to set off again on its campaign of adult fundraising walks backed again by The Northern Echo and other businesses from around the region.
The walks are taking place from 25th to 31st July this year and again visit some of the areas most iconic sites & visitor attractions taking in Raby Castle, the Tynemouth coast, Derwent Reservoir, Roseberry Topping, Beamish Museum, High Force and their surrounding areas. Again, proceeds from fundraising will be used to help to fund further pairs of walking boots for donation.
