As-salaamu Alaykum, by the mercy of Allah we have purchased the building and established Barnet Islamic Centre. This project would not have been successful without your ongoing support. Alhamdulillah, starting off with just £90k we have managed to raise £350k through donations and £600k in Qard Al-Hasana through a live TV appeal and our JustGiving page last year.

However, we are not done. The Masjid currently has £400k of Qard Al-Hasana which needs to be returned to the generous brothers and sisters who loaned us the money. Please follow the link on the description to our just giving page and donate generously this Ramadan.

After the outstanding balance is cleared, by the will of Allah, we plan to increase the capacity and accommodate a much needed sisters area at the back and children's educational facility. Ideally we would like to start kids madrasah classes as soon as possible and teach them valuable Islamic practices.

We are reaching out to our wider community not just to give but to invest, invest for your akhirah, inshaaAllah. Prophet Muhammad SAW says 'Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build a palace for him in paradise.' (Sahih Muslim)

Barnet Islamic Centre seeks to meet the needs of the ever growing Muslim community in and around Barnet by providing and facilitating good practice in faith, community development, educational services and interfaith social cohesion.
