HCC students Brandon Cain and Daphne Wesson thought their lives were set.
Brandon was a high school football star with a Division II college scholarship. Daphne was an esthetician who earned enough money to support her two young boys.
But an injury brought Brandon home. And Daphne lost her job. Their paths led them to Houston Community College... where they received a life-changing scholarship - the Black History Scholarship.
Since the founding of the HCC Black History Committee (BHC) in 2006, hundreds of HCC students like Brandon and Daphne can pursue their college dreams and career aspirations with support from the Black History Scholarship, which is administered by the HCC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
For Students. For Houston. For History. The HCC Black History Scholarship transforms the lives of HCC students. You can help.
Together, we can help more students embark on a brighter future!
