Story
The National Kidney Federation (NKF), established in 1978, is run by kidney patients to support kidney patients and their families across the UK with two main roles - patient support and campaigning.
The NKF provides the only National Helpline dedicated solely to renal patients, their families and carers, by providing a free-to-call service on 0800 169 0936. The NKF is the UK's largest producer and distributor of kidney-related medical information leaflets with a library of over 200 titles written by nephrologists in simple language for patients.
It runs the only FREE UK Helpline dedicated to kidney patients with two fully trained, experienced advisers providing a 5-day-per-week service to kidney patients, carers, healthcare professionals and renal units.
Please support our Best Foot Forward challenge by either walking or running 68,000 steps during June. The 68,000 steps represent the number of people in the UK being treated for end-stage renal failure.
Your support will help us to continue the vital work of supporting kidney patients and their families and campaigning for better renal treatment. Like Jane who called our helpline
