Following on from our huge 2021 Best Foot Forward for Stan, we are going bigger and better this year. To travel around the world (equivalent of the equator ), plus diverting to Washington in just 18 days, by any human-powered means possible. The event will take place between 31st March 2022 and 17th April 2022.

We are looking for fundraisers who would like to join us on this epic quest. Anyone volunteering will be able to add their miles covered to help us towards our target of 27,588 miles. Any distance you do that is human-powered will count towards the overall campaign target, which includes things like, walking your dog, shopping, household tasks as well as walking, running, cycling, rowing and swimming.

So whether you are an individual or part of a club, we invite as many people as possible to get involved, raise some money for this life-saving treatment, help to keep yourself fit and have a feeling of accomplishment at the end.

Each weekend throughout the challenge we will be hosting organised group events. See below for the details, it would be great to have big numbers at these events......

The distance of 27,588 miles is a massive challenge that we aim to complete in just 18 days, the same length of time Stan was receiving treatment in Washington. Why a target of £25,000 well last year we raised nearly £10,000 by aiming to travel 7088 miles. We actually travelled over 14,000 miles. Put into perspective, the fundraising target is equivalent to what "Stan" had to pay for his treatment and that is why we strive to make it available for all that need it on the NHS.

Record your distances on the Stan Bowley website and make it a personal goal to get fitter, or just join in to raise funds for this life-saving treatment, giving hope where there was previously none.

There will be a prize for two tickets to our prestigious ball, to be held at Alton towers in November 2022, for the most novel way that someone travels at least 50 miles in total, part of which must be unique. Photographic evidence will be required.
