Story

Be More Orangutan!

Did you know that orangutans are semi-solitary? The relationship between a mother and her child last for many years, but time spent with other orangutans is limited. With this in mind, we're thinking of social distancing as behaving more like orangutans...and you can unleash your inner orangutan this Ape-ril to help save orangutans in the wild!

Look up "Great Apes" and you'll find it's a family...our family! We share 96.4% of our DNA with orangutans, but we have pushed them to the edge of extinction. You can help save them.

Deforestation is the greatest threat facing orangutans. Tearing down jungle for farmlands and roads destroy all manner of natural balances and is one of the biggest drivers of climate change. Orangutans need the forests to survive - and so do we.

Show your solidarity with our Great Ape cousins this Ape-ril! To take part, share an image of you unleashing your inner orangutan, make a donation, and nominate friends and family to do the same. You could even get sponsored to dye your beard orangutan-orange, donate your birthday or get creative with your own fundraising idea! By raising awareness, and vital funds, we can make a real and lasting impact on the survival of orangutans and the conservation of their rainforest home.
