Beards for Bucks is a fun and exciting fundraiser where law enforcement officers are allowed to grow facial hair or show their support in other fun creative ways (like dyeing their hair blue!) for the month of October to support their local Child Advocacy Center (CAC). Officers depend on the generosity of the community to make donations to support their Razorless for a Reason cause. A fun and easy way to support the kids of Belknap County!

Helping child victims of physical and sexual abuse and their families requires an approach that addresses the physical, emotional and legal dimensions of abuse. This process requires a coordinated victim centered response from expert professionals to include, CAC Forensic Interviewer and Family Support Specialist, Law Enforcement, DCYF, Crisis Center Advocate, Prosecution, Victim Witness Advocate, Mental Health and Specialized Medical to reduce stress throughout the investigation and intervention process. The Greater Lakes Child Advocacy Center works in partnership with all the necessary agencies and specialists to coordinate a plan of action to provide high-quality, specialized services to children and their families to heal, survive and thrive. Our center is fortunate enough to be able to provide onsite mental health and specialized medical services, a first for New Hampshire CACs, beginning in 2020. In 2021 our center conducted 196 forensic interviews and was able to provide follow up support and services to those children and families based on their needs. Each year NH CACs are able to provide more services for our state's growing demand, but it is with team and community efforts we are able to do so. Thank you for considering donating to our center
