For most people celebrating Christmas, it is a time filled with merriment and joy; writing wish lists to Santa Claus, festive movie marathons snuggled on the sofa with hot chocolate and leaving out a mince pie and carrot on Christmas Eve

After a slightly restless night's sleep, children across the world snap open their eyes with delight and excitedly jump out of bed to start the most magical day of the year. Little feet slide into slippers and cosy dressing gowns are pulled on as they hurriedly race to see what Mr Claus and his trusty reindeer have delivered from the North Pole.

This is the magic of Christmas; a truly wonderful feeling that, if we could, we would capture, bottle up and keep forever.

The heart-breaking reality however, is that 1 in 5 children in our city, dont know this feeling. Letters arent written, traditions arent made and they dont expect to receive any gifts on Christmas morning.

Due to the cost of living crisis, families across the NorthEast are really struggling and quite frankly, dreading Christmas. With your support however, we can help make the festive season one to remember for all the right reasons.

Our 'No Child Should Go Without Believing in Magic' campaign aims to bring Father Christmas to life for local children and gift that magical feeling that is at the very heart of Christmas.

Our bespoke Christmas Eve boxes are lovingly packed with new pyjamas, cosy sock, story books, festive activities, hot chocolate and sweet treats and of course our Aber'elves will ensure there are extra special gifts for underneath the tree.
