Story

Beecroft Community Cookalong Fundraiser

Beecroft Garden Primary School & FOBS needs support from of our generous community to continue helping the increasing number vulnerable families still affected by Covid-19. As many are now living in hostels, we want to do everything we can to help. We need crucial funds to support these families with access to fresh, healthy food and essentials, both during the holidays and when children return to school.

Watch the video from Beecroft's amazing Family Support Worker, Claudine Williams, to hear more about why we need your help.

Our target is to raise £4,000 in donations by Sunday 26th July. If we can raise this or as close as possible, we have a star line up of celebrity chefs and foodie influencers donating their time for a 5-day live family cookalong.

Monday 27th-Friday 31st July at 4-5pm one chef each day will be guiding you/and your children through a simple and healthy meal to enjoy with your family.

Each Zoom session is free to attend and has a limited number of spaces, so email beecroftcook@gmail.com to register now! Once you register, you can choose which sessions you'd like to attend.

Sessions will be recorded and available to watch at a later time. If you have family or friends that would like to donate to this fundraising drive, they can also participate in the cookalong sessions.

We know times are tough for most people, but any support that you can provide, no matter how small is much appreciated. Please donate what you can, even if you won't be participating in the cookalong.

Zoom Cookalong Line-up 27th-31st July:

Monday 27th: Anna Jones (Corn, Tomatoes and Crispy Bread)

Tuesday 28th: Melissa Hemsley (Cheering Chickpea & Coconut Bowls)

Wednesday 29th: Craig and Shaun McAnuff (Ital Rundown)

Thursday 30th: Nena Foster (Carrot, Apricot & Chocolate Cake)

Friday 31st: Nicole Pisani (Lentils & Turmeric Potatoes)

Updated 27 July: Cookalong Ingredients and Equipment

Special Guest and Baking Judge, David Atherton (GBBO winner from 2019) will be judging the swiss roll submissions and the winner will receive a special video message and a signed copy of his upcoming childrens cookbook, My First Cookbook.

Cookalong ingredients boxes can be ordered from Brockleys new grocers, Marvellous Beans and Greens. These will be delivered to your door on the day of the required session. Limited availability, so support a new local business and order:
