Story
Thrill-seeking participants have volunteered to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower, whilst raising some pennies to support initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of our NHS colleagues.
It is Brighterway's mission to support our colleagues, by supporting their health and wellbeing, they are playing their part in enabling the delivery of high quality care of our patients.
Please support our Team to support Brighterway.
A message from Becky:-
I’m an Occupational Therapist and I have worked in the Trust since 2002. My current role is Professional Lead OT in Adult Specialist Services and in this role I get to work with a team of amazing Occupational Therapy staff, to support service users in secure care. I have an addon role as Service User and Carer Lead, which means I get to work on various projects with more amazing staff, to improve the experience of service users and their unpaid carers – family and friends. It is with this role in mind, that I find myself about to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower!
I enjoy an adrenalin rush from time to time and have taken part in a 10,000ft parachute jump with 30 second free fall, completed various high ropes activities and driven across the Egyptian desert on a quadbike.
I’ve always wanted to try abseiling and one-day I was working my way through endless emails when I saw this opportunity advertised and thought… “why not?!”. I’m most looking forward to the first tummy turning step over the edge! And of course raising money for Charity. 😊
