We are aiming to raise public awareness and build capacity to meet the increasing need for support for unpaid carers and disabled people in Dundee who embody the spirit of our campaign – “Because We Care.”

Because We Care
There are an estimated 800,000 unpaid carers in Scotland; this includes 30,000 young carers under the age of 18. The value of unpaid care provided by carers in Scotland is £12.8 billion per year.
Three out of five of us will become carers at some stage in our lives, and 1 in 10 of us is already fulfilling some sort of caring role. (source: https://carers.org/our-work-in-scotland/our-work-in-scotland)
For that reason alone, it is more important than ever to elevate, support and raise awareness of unpaid carers and disabled people in our community.
