Story
We urgently seek your support to allow us to continue to support the mental wellbeing of the nursing and midwifery community.
Did you know that the female suicide rate is 23% higher in the nursing community* than the general population?
‘Another nurse in crisis reaches out...the caller is in huge distress and wants to end her life. After a little while we are able to connect and help her into a safe space.'
Please share our cause far and wide - we need your help. Suicide rates are at the highest they have ever been in the nursing and midwifery community - your support might just save a life.
We are more regularly receiving calls from those that no longer want to go on. We aim to connect and help our callers into a temporary, safe space and direct them to specialist services. Without vital funds we cannot continue to provide this care and support to our community, or strive for our plans to grow to support our users.
Please donate today.
Every donation, no matter how small, REALLY does count. Make a donation today and be our lifeline, so we can be theirs. We are here to listen and support the nursing and midwifery community but without us and our service who will our callers turn to?
Help US, help THEM – You will be saving more than the life of our charity.
Nurse Lifeline emerged during the pandemic as a psychological life-raft for nurses, nursing associates, midwives, health care assistants, students in these professions and friends and family of these groups. We provide a listening ear, support and signpost callers to more specialist services. We run a unique confidential, anonymous, non-NHS, peer-support service provided for nurses and midwives BY nurses and midwives – colleagues who really DO ‘get it’.
