Story
The Beacon Centre needs your support to help our team carry out vital work to support the most vulnerable people during the Coroavirus crisis.
We've had to suspend many of our services and close our retail shops meaning we are losing £25,000 a week. But the people we help need our support more than ever.
We've seen almost 300 people sign up for our telephone befriending service alone in the last week and our team have been helping our members with all sorts of issues including arranging food bank deliveries, helping overcome language barriers when trying to access services and finding accommodation.
Our amazing team have also made almost 500 welfare calls in a fortnight.
But we need your support to continue to provide these vital services for people who are among the most at risk in our communities. The people we help are elderly, often have sight loss and are feeling more alone than ever.
Please support us by contributing whatever you can to our virtual collection box, whether it's the cost of a daily commute, the price of your weekly latte or what you spend on a take out lunch during a normal working week. It will help us help others during this time of crisis for us all.
Thank you for your support.
