Story

This project is Zakat eligible - Please mention Zakat when donating.

An estimated 600,000 children are living and working on the streets of Dhaka.

Children on the streets face the dangers and offers from gangs who are ready to assimilate them into gangs and criminality and worse traffic them into sexually abusive and punishing work. Children who cannot find work are often left with only the option to beg leaving them prey for traffickers.

Our school under the sky, rescue a child outreach work and transitional shelter offer a lifeline to the street children. Our street children project is a complete solution to support street children in changing their outcomes in life.

Rescued children who we cannot reunite with family or it is unsafe, our childrens home in Ramu will provide a new opportunity that all children deserve.

Over a 1 million Rohingya refugees currently reside in the camps in Coxs Bazaar, over 420000 are children (Save the children). The children do not have access to education, phycological support and play space.

Our child friendly space provides informal education, support and save space for children to have fun and to help the healing process. Daulatdia is the home to one of the largest brothels in the world, within the brothel village 100s of children call the brothel their home.

Our day centre helps provide a safe space for the children to spend time away from the brothel environment an get the support they need schools to provide a safe place for children to grow and learn. They are places where children can seek help, advice, and be inspired. The Pre Primary school in Syhlet is to provide young people with the education and opportunities afforded to our children.

Bangladesh population in the poverty line has increased due to the global pandemic, some experts are suggesting it could double to 41% of the pollution (https://www.dw.com/en/coronavirus-economy-down-poverty-up-in-bangladesh/a-53759686. We will be improving livelihoods with donations by providing sources of income, improving homes etc, this will be based on assessment of need for area and individuals.
