The rising cost of living has caused homelessness to skyrocket in the last year, and many thousands of people will wake up on Christmas day in our neighbourhoods and on our streets without a place to call home. This growing homelessness crisis is a harsh reality that we cannot ignore this holiday season.
Barons Court Project is the only day centre in our borough, providing a lifeline to those experiencing homelessness, and those living with mental health conditions on a low income. Every day, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of our guests, offering essential services, advice, support, and a sense of belonging.
However, this Christmas, the demand for our services is greater than ever. The rising cost of living has left many more people struggling to make ends meet. For them, a visit to our day centre can be the difference between going hungry, and feeling isolated and forgotten, and feeling warm, well fed and welcome, and getting the advice and support they desperately need.
