Together with the Inns of Court, the BBA is facilitating the immediate establishment of the COVID19 Fund Appeal to provide financial assistance to barristers suffering immediate hardship because of the effects of the corona virus pandemic. The BBA will administer distributions to applicants under the Scheme as soon as possible.

About the charity

The BBA exists to support, help and comfort those members of the Bar in England and Wales and their dependants who are in need, in distress or in difficulties. During the recent past we have helped barristers and their families in every circuit, often saving not only dignity but careers.
