Story
This challenge has been brought to you by a members of the local community and our supporters Eleve Counselling, Road.cc, and Giro D'Abruzzo to create an event in aid of Bath Mind.
From 18-24th May, Mental Health Awareness Week, get your team together and set your 7 day cycling challenge. We've put together some suggestions for you below, all to help raise funds for Bath Mind.
Why we have decided to create the challenge
The month of May is usually a time for enjoying and watching our favourite cyclists ride the Giro d'Italia. As cyclists, we know how fun and motivating it can be to ride at home, and also that when we set personal goals for ourselves and involve others in our homes and community that we can create a good sense of wellbeing and better mental health for all.
So we're working with local wellbeing providers and sponsors, running a challenge that can be carried out at home that also helps to fundraise and support the excellent work of our local, independent mental health charity Bath Mind.
How to Get Involved
1. Pick your challenge and set up your fundraising page here at the Turbo Challenge campaign page. All fundraising will then go straight to Bath Mind.
2. Like our page on Facebook - The 7 Day Turbo Cycling Challenge
3. Invite your friends and family to join
4. Post your photos and achievements on social media and #BathMind to enter for prizes
What's your challenge
Here are some ideas for you...

Connect to any of the phone apps like Strava, WahooFitness or Komoot, or through a desktop platform such as Zwift or Rouvy.
Depending on your home trainer, you may need to add a so-called speed sensor to your bike that measures the revolutions of your wheel and translates that into distance, speed and so on picked up by by your phone app or computer.
There's information online on what you might use for cycling at home, including this one here from road.cc: https://road.cc/content/buyers-guide/11-best-smart-home-trainers-2020-217611
Any more questions on kit?
Just post a question on our Facebook page with what you have already and we'll advise; there's probably some else wondering the same thing.
