Story

Take part in Bart's Bash on 10th-11th 2022 September and help us transform lives through sailing.

Bart's Bash gives the sailing community an opportunity to unite and remember Andrew Bart Simpson, a double Olympic Medallist who tragically lost his life whilst training for the Americas Cup in 2013.

Andrew was a talented sailor who firmly believed in the benefits that participation in sport can bring to young people. The Andrew Simpson Foundation now exists to continue his vision and to bring change for thousands of young people.

By taking part in Bart's Bash, you will be supporting young people from all backgrounds, enabling them to experience sailing, gain qualifications and develop key life skills. Young people like Billie:

£35 covers the cost of one Discover Sailing Session

£150 supports the running of one term of Sailing Club or Race Club

£600 Gives one aspiring young leader the chance to access our year-long programme

£2,100 pays for one block of 6 sessions of Aiming High for 10 young people

£8,400 allows 40 young people to benefit from the Sail Fit programme

With your support we can increase sport participation, encourage healthy and active life-styles and transform lives through sailing.

About the charity

Absolutely everything we do is driven by our belief that all young people have the ability to excel and succeed in life and work. We believe that the challenges of Sailing and Watersports do this by promoting health and well-being and building essential personal skills.
