You, our wonderful animal-loving supporters have raised a fantastic £5000 to dig ditches and stem the tide!! Our spirits are lifted in these uncertain times. Thank you to all those who have donated so far!

However The Environment Agency, West Berkshire Council, Highways Agency and Thames Water, who have helped us enormously, have now advised that if the ditch work were to start now

We love our community and are incredibly lucky to have their support and so have taken the difficult decision to protect the village from further flooding and contain the water as best we can!

Our decision comes with crippling financial and logistical consequences on the rescue.

Trindledown Farm is closed until further notice due to the flood.

When we launched Barry Cant Swim the centre was open, now we are closed we are in serious trouble and REALLY need your support. The £5k ditch work has become the tip of the iceberg, and with every day we are shut we are financially sinking -

As you know we rely on our fundraising events, adoption fees and donations from supporters to survive. While the centre is closed we have no income, no café or charity shop, and no adoptions.

Volunteers are unable to get on site to help us and we have had to purchase a battered old Landrover to transport staff on and offsite to ensure the animals still get the level of care they need.

It cant be all doom and gloom though!

Barry has caught the attention of the Media which we hope will build momentum and support. With more TV and radio interviews planned he is set to be a global superstar!!

We feel empowered and uplifted by our supporters and have been humbled by the offers of help received so far. The landrover we got at a steal from a supporter for just £3250.

We need to raise essential funds for hay to replace the drowned grazing fields, straw for warm and dry beds, heating costs for warm radiators to snooze by help us get through these wet days.

Will help keep Trindledown Farm afloat and our community dry too!!
