Story
Did you know that 75% of performing artists will face an injury that will impact their career?
Many of those injuries or health issues need specialist treatment or approaches.
The British Association for Performing Arts Medicine are clinical specialists, delivering expert health and wellbeing services for those working in the performing arts.
BAPAM is at the forefront of treating nuanced health issues – psychological and physical – encountered by performers, artists and creators.
Whether it is the voice of a singer, the shoulders of a violinist, the hands of a pianist, the arms of a drummer, or an artist experiencing anxiety and panic attacks, each case requires highly specialised clinical support.
Last year BAPAM supported 3,000 musicians, dancers, actors and performers as well as behind the scenes professionals.
Your gift helps create a healthier, more sustainable creative sector.
By giving to BAPAM you are helping performing arts professionals all over the UK to have access to expert clinician-led help when they need it.
Throughout October, BAPAM staff, clinicians and trustees are challenging themselves to create and sustain a healthy habit. Putting our money where our mouth is and creating healthy and sustainable practice! Follow our progress here and on our socials, and keep us motivated by donating to BAPAM!
